Agrasen Ki Baoli Delhi | The Haunted Place | Historical Step Well Connaught Place Agrasen Ki Baoli also known as Ugrasen Ki Baoli, is a 60-meter long and 15-meter wide historical step well located on Hailey Road near Connaught Place, Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, India. Historical records say that Agrasen Ki Baoli was rebuilt over the old stepwell by the rich Agarwal Community, who are said to be the descendants of Maharaja Agrasen. So, today's structure belongs to the 14th century during the rule of Tuglaqs in Delhi. The water inside the well of Agrasen Ki Baoli is said to hypnotise people and allure them to commit suicide. It is said that the well had black water, which mysteriously killed people. We do not know how far these stories are true, but the well is almost dry these days. There have been no reports of suicide inside this well. Best time to visit - Morning Hours. It remains open all days of the week through 365 days. There is no ticket fee to visit Agrasen Ki Baoli. ABOUT THIS STEPWELL At the level of the ground, about 86 colonnaded openings existed from where everyone had to go down 170 to 200 steps to reach the water stored at the bottom of the stepwell. They say that more than 20 stairs right from the eighth floor were submerged in water. Today, the place has lost its former glory to the apparent neglect it has faced over the decades by the concerned authorities. What one can see now are broken ledges, filth, cracked steps, scribbling by the visitors, and some unwelcomed occupants such as beehives, bats etc. Many Ghost sightings remours have been spread by locals about this stepwell and bacause of it's haunted look everyone make believe on those rumours.

Ugrasen Ki Baoli - Unveiling the Haunting Legends #shorts Ugrasen Ki Baoli is a protected site located near Connaught Place in New Delhi. There are about 105 steps in the stepwell in this step well. It was built by Maharaja Agrasen in the 14th century. In the year 2012, a postal stamp was issued on Ugrasen's Bawdi. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and the facts are protected by the Government of India under the Act 1958. This step well is made of red sandstone. It is one of the finest baolis in Delhi made of Anggarh and hewn stones. Ugrasen's stepwell About 60 meters tall and 15 meters at the top, this baoli is believed to have been unveiled during the Mahabharata period. It is one of the very few step wells in Delhi which are still in good condition. This stepwell is situated on Haily Road, near Jantar Mantar. People from New Delhi and Old Delhi used to come here sometimes to learn to swim. Ugrasen's Stepwell, Parsi architecture The architectural style of the stepwell corresponds to that of the late Tughlaq and Lodi periods (13th-16th AD). The architectural features of this stepwell made of red sandstone are pointing towards Tughlaq and Lodi periods, but it is said that this ancient stepwell was built by Ugrasen, the former of the Agrahari and Agrawal society. The main feature of the building is that it is 60 meters long in the north-to-south direction and 15 meters wide on the ground floor. On the west side, there are three entrances with a mosque. It is imbued with the notions of living on a solid high platform. In its architecture, the 'fish-back' roof, the combined pillar of four pillars with the carving of 'Chaitya Aakriti', and the medallion ornamentation attached to the arc wing provide special uniqueness. Ugrasen Ki Balli is one of the popular historical buildings in Delhi. #UgrasensBaoli #HauntedLegends #SpookyDelhi #DarkHistory #ChambersOfMystery #EchoesOfThePast #SupernaturalEncounters #EerieAcoustics #HauntedHeritage #DelhiFolklore #ParanormalExperiences #GhostsOfTheBaoli #EnigmaticUgrasen #MysticalDelhi #HauntedDestinations #indianhistory #india #waqtkepannonse #shorts

No water left in this one! But a pair of city girls, in summer shorts, decide to spend their day down in the baoli, unmindful of the other citizenry around them... Imagine how much work this construction would have taken and how expensive it would have been had it been built in today's date, especially on the basis of a Government of India tender!
